stave table
Entered in the Vellum_8 furniture competition at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, this table was designed to take advantage of the strength of each found material involved. Detail design allows the staves from a cast-off wine barrel, scrap steel rod, and minimal hardware to come together in a meaningful way. The table emphasizes both individual beauty of each texture and color, as well as efficiency as a whole composition.
